What's up, friends and foreigners?
Today at a glance:
A short overview of what you can expect with this newsletter.
What tools am I using to bootstrap my journey of note-taking and sharing it with you through a newsletter.
What I'm currently up to.
What to expect?
Carefully curated shills of products with referral links. Nah, not really. My main goal with this is to start a habit of writing and finding an outlet for my ideas, recapping what I have recently found, mastered, or where I've failed.
It will mostly be free-form writing on topics that relate to the vast marketing industry. I won't shy out of talking about the different kinds of tools and resources that I use to be more productive or the technological stack that I am using.
Every now and then I'll make a quick case study on some of the marketing campaigns I have run or been involved with. Both good and bad ones so you can find tips or tricks for replicating a successful campaign or what to completely avoid.
But maybe there's more. Maybe I am trying to pursue a career in being a newsletter (or Twitter) chad.

That's entirely possible. Let's see how it goes.
What tools am I using?
You've already met the first tool. Beehiiv. What is it?
It's an all-in-one e-mail newsletter platform. I like the features it has and the ease of setting up and managing a newsletter. Created by former employees of the Morning Brew newsletter.
I have tried and set up a lot of various newsletters for businesses using platforms like SendInBlue, Substack, or the infamous MailChimp.
The free version of Beehiiv has so many built-in features even for the free version. It has a neat built-in referral system for whenever there may be a need for it, and strong analytical tools. It's the perfect tool to build and scale newsletters.
And that is it. If I build a habit out of writing this newsletter, I will most probably add Twitter to my list of channels where bits of the content from here will be shared there and used as a platform to grow my newsletter audience. The platform that I will definitely start using then is Hypefury.
What am I currently up to?
Recovering from COVID. 😷 Again... But focusing on resting and reloading has felt like a long-needed vacation for my brain. So the holidays have been quiet and not too productive. But it's due to change. New years resolutions, anyone? 😅
Recommendation Zone 💡
One of my favorite case studies/newsletters to read is definitely growth.design. They've built the experience to read it fun, engaging, and easily understandable; and their focus is on Product User Experience. I highly recommend you check them out. Their latest case study on Tinder is a great example:
What's my jam?
📚 I'm currently reading, after it living long on my to-do list, How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. It's a nice reminder of various communication tips. One of the most memorable quotes from this book so far:
A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.
That's it. If you have any feedback, please reply to this email with your thoughts. Maybe it's too long, too short, missing a section, or you have other suggestions on what I should do. Maybe you want to unsubscribe entirely, you're free to go (although I might come and haunt you).
If you enjoyed this newsletter, keep it to yourself! Or share it with your friends and fam. Cheers! rasmus.beehiiv.com
